Alexandra-Maria-Lara
Alexandra Maria Lara, a Romanian and German actress working in TV and film is well known for movies such as Rush as well as Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. She was the sole daughter of Romanian acting star Valentin Platareanu Alexandra stepped into the world of show business early, and ended up playing lead roles in different TV dramas before she turned 16. In the Oscar nominated film Downfall the role she played as Secretary Traudljunge, Adolf Hitler's secretary was also critically acclaimed. The Reader as well as Der Baader Meinhof Komplex were also nominated for Oscars. Alexandra's career has seen her participate in several significant national and international productions. The projects include British biographical films Control and The Dust of Time as in addition to the French historical miniseries Napoleon. Other roles she has held include being juror at both The Transylvania International Film Festival and Cannes Film Festival.
