Bea Her maiden name, which is her birth name, is a tribute to her dad who died in the year 2000. Aisling Cliodhnadh, O'Sullivan is a Kildare woman who was born in Kildare. Her birth date was the 16th of March, 1984. She was the daughter of Brian O'Sullivan. Brian was a veterinarian for horses who took his own life when Bea was three years old though she was not told how he died until she turned 13. Bea chose to stage her name Bea to pay tribute to her father who passed away. She also wrote a 2017 article in The Guardian on her family's suicide story. Bea's mother Helen was also a jockey-trainer and former pro jockey, was the one responsible for taking care of her as well as Sinead. They were both passionate about horses, races and racing. Bea started her journey as a tour-guide for the Irish National Stud. However Bea realized at an early age that the race industry was not for her.
